Fears

I'm a worrier. Ty makes fun of me because sometimes I'm ridiculous. It's no small problem though. Sometimes I get super out of control. Here's a list of some of the minor concerns I have.

1.) Running out of milk. Do you know how much cereal I eat despite my lactose intolerance? Anyone who knows me knows that a milk shortage will severely affect two of my three meals.

2.) Losing Clyde. Is Clyde human? No. Clyde is my blankie. My second "baby" blankie because Tickly had to be retired at age 8. Ty always teases saying he'll throw Clyde out. He could never follow through though. He knows how dead he would be. I look forward to when we have kids and I can drag Clyde around and blame it on them. {Just kidding. Or am I?}

3.) Falling asleep on airplanes. I'm positive the second I fall asleep, someone will steal all my valuables. I'm not a heavy sleeper but I envision someone prying my ipod out of my hands while I'm conked out.Ty assures me that doesn't happen because if you're on an airplane.. they can't get far. Which brings another issue. I'd have to confront every person on the plane. Thumbs down.

The list could go on but I'll let you ponder what else could possibly be going on in this head of mine.

French Dip Crescents

When we first got married, we were all about our french dips. And then I think we went a little overboard and never had them ever again. Then I saw these little guys on Pinterest and decided we could reinstate our former romance. We were pleasantly surprised. The crescent rolls make it so easy and they are extra tasty. Who doesn't love a good crescent roll? And we're super lazy and just go for the beef broth for dipping. When we need a quick dinner, this is on the list. Go here for the original recipe.

For Baby J

Just over three weeks ago, we got our very first nephew. Baby Jackson is just a doll with his blonde hair and manly shoulders. He's also quite the little snuggler which is great for the baby hungry folks {whoever they may be}. I gave him a little blanket with mitered corners when we saw him in the hospital. His shower was just this last weekend and I made some matching burp clothes from cloth diapers for that.  I created two different designs.

These little guys were just a strip of fabric down the middle with some ric rac on the edges. It took about 2 yards of ric rac to make two burp clothes.

These ones were a little trickier. I made bias tape from the robot material because I had so much of it but making bias tape is such a pain. I so preferred the ric rac. I'll be sticking with that in the future.

And here they are, all bundled for the party.

Valentine's Day

We had a pretty mellow Valentine's Day on account of it was a Tuesday and we were pretty busy. I got up early and made Ty a biscuit and gravy breakfast {gross} but he loved it and I don't ever make it for him because as I mentioned, gross. I gave him tons of little gifts to open but the major ones were an Adele CD and a really great t-shirt that I wish was my size because i loved it so much.

Ty waited until after work to give me my gifts which were a bocce ball set and a lot of tiny Valentines with little holograph animals on them. He knows me well.

And then we went to Village Inn for dinner like any classy American couple would do. Has anyone else noticed how classy we have been lately?

Sometimes you fall in love..

with music. And songs. And bands. And lead singers who weigh less than you do.
Don't be ashamed.

It happens to the best of us.
I may or may not have seen them 3 times before.
And I may or may not be seeing them again in March.
And I may or may not have the best husband who doesn't mind my music addiction.
Or my need to pre-order the upcoming album.
And have a tiny {read: gigantic} crush on Nate. eww right?

Give it a listen. Try not to love it. I dare you.

Date Night

You know it's bad when your husband tells you midweek that you have to take a nap because you're a brat.

School has been killing us. And I've been looking forward to the weekend until last Sunday night. But I was so pleasantly surprised to find that my sweet husband made dinner, set the table, rented a movie and set up camp. It was so nice to drop my backpack on the floor, hop into my jammies and not worry about a thing. Thanks Ty!

And of course, the Martinelli's we have with every meal.
Because we're classy like that.
