Belly Pics #4

I'm actually looking pretty pregnant lately. I walked into work today and the first thing my boss said to me was, "You look pregnant today!" It happened sometime in the last five days and I just kind of popped.

We've also been able to see this girl move. It is a little weird and kind of confirms my feelings that there is an alien growing inside of me. She gets super wild at night and absolutely crazy if I have the slightest bit of caffeine. I think she dislikes when there is pressure on my stomach because she'll kick like a ninja when I rest my hands on my tummy. Ty's new favorite thing to do during church is to watch my belly for signs of life.

I also had a doctors appointment last week and everything is right on track. He did ask me if I have had any contractions but luckily I've been able to miss out on that experience. Not so luckily, he did confirm my suspicions that my Sciatic nerve was pinched. He did tell me heat and massage are about the only things that can help so if anyone is interested in being my personal massage therapist, let me know but you can't be shy about those glute massages.

Husbandisms #11

Lying in bed one morning
E: Would you still love me if my face looked like this? (And then I made a terrible face.)
T: Ew. No.
E: You should love me no matter what my face looks like.
T: You should join Billy Hill and the Hillbillies if your face looks like that. Then you can live in Disneyland forever.

Probably the same morning, we're in bed and he's whispering to my belly..
T: I love you more than mom does okay? Remember that.

And about ten minutes later...
T: I made you. You wouldn't be here without me. I'm like Dr. Frankenstein and you are my creation. (Insert evil laughter here)
E: You know she can hear you by now...

I Forgot to Tell You Something...

So one time I was almost five months pregnant and I went to the mall with my home girl, Joanifer. And I'm feeling pretty dowdy because I was looking pretty chubby instead of pregnant. These two boys stop us as we're walking between stores, probably 13 or 14 years old.

"Excuse me? Do you know how to spell 'beauty'?"
I go into total teacher mode, "Yes, it's b-e-a-u-t-y."
"That's right! Do you have a boyfriend?"
I was shocked because that was really not where I thought this was going. I should have seen it coming but I blame the pregnancy hormones on this one. I help up my left hand to show off my bling.
"No, but I do have a husband." Then I pointed to my belly and finished with, "... and a baby."
"Oh. My. Gosh." And then the little boys turned bright red and scurried off.

This girl's still got it, even at 5 months pregnant.

Belly Pics #3

I'm actually getting a little tummy to show for myself. I will admit, I will miss the looks of complete shock when I tell people I'm pregnant. And I apparently don't believe in make up anymore. We're missing a 21 week picture because we moved that weekend and who the heck wants to take pictures when you don't even know where your undies are? Not this girl.

{March 24}

{April 7}

We do have some pictures from our 20 week ultrasound though. I mean, she looks like an alien but we love these images. First up, she has her little leggies crossed at her ankles. Right leg over the left. She did this with our 16 week ultrasound as well. Always such a lady. The other funny part about this is that my niece, Ashley,   has ALWAYS crossed her legs like this ever since she was teeny tiny. They probably reclined in heaven together.

This one is of her profile so you can see her tiny nose and the outline of her face. My favorite part about this one is that 4 weeks ago, her whole body fit in one image. It's ridiculously amazing how much she has grown. I have not cried in any of our ultrasounds but it is so hard not too. I don't mean to be cliche but I am constantly in awe that this gigantic miracle is happening inside my body.

So excited to meet this little girl! (And so excited to not have to pee in the middle of the night lol )

Husbandisms #10?

I can't tell you how happy I am that I will be laughing for the rest of eternity thanks to this husband of mine.

So it's a bit of a given that I've gained weight, just not exactly where I expected. The thighs and booty have definitely grown and I've gone up two bra sizes. I was complaining to Ty that I was looking squeezed into my shirts, and not because of my growing tummy. He responded, "Ahh, yes. Busty Girl problems?"

Watching TV, I saw something with Tom Selleck in it.
E: I'm gonna be real with you. I kinda have a crush on Tom Selleck in his younger years.
T: I put Tom Selleck in the same category as Pierce Brosnan
E: Which category is that? "Men-who-can't-sing?"
T: No, "Men who like to wear suits"

Haha naturally.

"Belly" Pics #2

I'm trying to do better with the blogging since there was such a hiatus at the beginning of the year. We truly haven't been up to much. Ty just had Spring Break which we celebrated by sleeping in every single day. Day Light Savings has ruined us but I think we're finally catching up. We finally got our insurance figured out which was such a relief.

Ty continues to say hilarious things like, "I really should have encouraged you to wear a bikini while you had the chance," and "You're not really fat, more like... round. Like a penguin." (Ty read this and is worried that people will think he's mean to me. He's not mean to me, all of these comments have been completely in good humor and made me laugh like crazy. Don't send him hate mail.)

{16 week ultrasound}
As for our little girl, as far as we know, she's doing well. We found out on Feb 26th that we're having a girl. It was amazing to see how much she had grown in 7 weeks from this tiny little jelly bean to a recognizable human being. It was awesome seeing her heart beating and her vertebrae and ribs formed. Her little hands and legs were moving all over the place, she kept flashing gang signs with her right hand and at some point she was sucking on her fingers. She also had the hiccups. So freaking cute. We're already so in love with this girl.

{18 weeks is a boring week}

{19 weeks. Mainly just penguin-like.}

We're so stuck on girl names. We can't agree on anything. We have names that the both of us don't mind but we don't have any that we both LOVE. We have time so I'm not worried. It's been funny though because whenever Ty prays, he blesses our little girl by name. By whatever name he loves at the moment. And I always laugh and he always peeks. This child will have some great reverence examples. Hopefully we can pull it together by the time she's born. Seriously. Worst examples ever.
